I don’t think how long you’ve known someone and whether or not you came from the same ocean instantly dictates the quality or closeness of your frendship.
I know some Strawhats might be closer than others but Chopper, Robin, Franky, and Brook are just as important and just as much Strawhats as anybody else.
And I think the the same can be said for anyone (Jinbe) who may join after the timeskip as well.
There is no “the original” anything.
Just nakama~

I know the bottom left-hand corner one is bound to come up in the future but for now I’m lucky that I never get bingoed. This is only because people who know me feel too awkward bringing up my childhood to bother using the rest against me. My default response is always “I have the same outlook on children as my mother, so do you really think I should be having them?”
My mother always hated children. The laughter of children annoyed her. Kids going near her dogs annoyed her. Someone living in the same apartment building as her with kids meant she would instantly want to move. When she got pregnant with me my super religious Catholic father refused to allow her an abortion and thus I was born. Everyone told her during her pregnancy that she’d change her mind, that she’d love me, and “It’s different when they’re your own.” And do you know what happened? She hated me from the moment I was born. She didn’t even want to hold me. My dad had to make my bottles and feed me because my mother had no interest. She left him a couple of months after bringing me home from the hospital, and dumped me on the doorstep of someone she knew.
The moral of this story is that children are a choice. Not everyone is cut out to be a parent, and forcing them to have kids only leads to misery and misfortune. Not wanting children does not make you a bad person; it makes you a responsible one.

Oda: You’re right, there were many strange…
